Last week was a challenging and nerve wracking week for residents and businesses in Florida as the looming threat of Hurricane Irma became more clear for specific areas in her path. As many evacuated their homes and businesses, some had no choice but to continue operating under the emergency circumstances. In situations like these, hospitals and the like cannot simply stop what they're doing, evacuate, and pick up where they left off after the damage is done. For the many people who could not be transported from local hospitals, the reality was that they needed to withstand the coming storm and continue business as usual - treating, rehabilitating, and nurturing patients.
This was the case for a Sonexis customer, a major Children's Hospital in South Florida. With Hurricane Irma on its way, they needed to know that their emergency protocols could continue to function as the storm took place. In preparing for what was to come, the hospital reached out to us requesting any additional capacity we may be able to provide on their Sonexis conference bridge to allow all of the necessary parties to gather and plan as needed before, during, and after the storm.

With the additional capacity they were able to better react to the constantly changing weather and to better prepare for a possible disaster.
