Flexible Licensing for Rapid ROI
In this day and age, business and collaboration are no longer confined to the parameters of a single meeting room. They stretch across many rooms in many different cities or countries. Because of this, the necessity for a reliable conferencing tool is indisputable in a company setting. Unfortunately, up until this point, it would seem that companies are often stuck weighing the pros and cons between only two conferencing options, without much room for flexibility: own or lease?
Own or Lease?
For those who choose ownership for conferencing, often times the unexpected happens and the allotted amount of capacity they purchased doesn’t handle the occasional larger than normal conference. In that time of confusion and search for quick relief, the company often finds themselves paying their service provider to pick up the additional needed capacity at a very high cost. Also with ownership, many companies are guided into thinking that their “needed” capacity is their peak connections, even if that amount of ports is only used once a year. In either situation, these organizations have to find the budget to purchase an over-sized system to accommodate those larger calls that may only occur <5% of the time. So, what’s the best solution?
Sonexis has the Answer:
Luckily, Sonexis has the answer to all of these issues. ConferenceBurst™ from Sonexis provides the flexibility needed to fit each individual company's conferencing needs, but it also provides the peace of mind that all managers, IT personnel and purchasing agents have been looking for. Occasional scheduling conflicts and overlapping meetings no longer have to cause a hectic shuffle or domino effect to the rest of the day or week. Paying for maximum port capacity that is only used rarely is no longer necessary. ConferenceBurst is an over-provisioning feature that seamlessly opens up the additional audio and web ports only when they’re needed. In other words, it allows the conference to burst over the number of ports owned to the amount required when these situations occur! If the burst usage becomes more consistent, the customer can choose to purchase additional capacity and reap the financial ownership benefits.
ConferenceBurst™ in Action:
Traditionally, with a fixed number of ports, scheduled conference calls can create a false number of available ports during the same time. For example, if a company has an 18 port system and a user schedules a call at 2:00 for 12 ports but only 10 people will show up. Another user then tries to reserve just 8 ports also for a 2:00 call, but their system didn’t allow it to schedule, seeing only 6 “available” ports. Ideally, both calls could have occurred using their full capacity of 18 ports, but instead the second conference was postponed.
With the Sonexis ConferenceManager™2 enabled with ConferenceBurst, both of those calls could have been scheduled with 12 ports reserved and 8 ports reserved at the same time. Despite only owning 18 ports, the customer would not be charged any overage for reserving 20 ports because the system recognizes that only 18 ports were used. Additionally, if all parties did show up as expected and 20 ports were needed, both calls would have taken place with ConferenceBurst’s ability to seamlessly open up the additional ports.
The Sonexis Advantage:
Not only is ConferenceBurst a breakthrough in conferencing technology, but this flexible licensing model makes the most of the robust features that are already included in the Sonexis ConferenceManager platform while keeping your conferencing costs under control.
