Sonexis Offers High Availability Upgrade
Sonexis has long offered the ConferenceManager™2 with our ConferenceContinuity high availability software and are now excited to announce the release of our much anticipated ConferenceContinuity 2.0. This fully integrated high availability platform includes the most recent Neverfail Continuity Engine (CE) software, further guaranteeing system availability and proactively protecting your business from potential downtime. See some key updates below!
Single NIC Configuration
Neverfail Channel: There is a Neverfail Channel IP on each server node within a CE cluster for communicating with other nodes over a private Neverfail Channel network. Previously this was done with a dedicated NIC separate from the Public NIC, a dual NIC configuration, but on the Sonexis ConferenceContinuity 2.0 platform the channel and public occupy the same NIC in a single NIC configuration, shown below:

Single NIC Configuration
Individual Server IP & Name Assignments
With the ConferenceContinuity 2.0 platform, administrators no longer need to access their passive server solely through the active server. The new software allows administrators to assign an IP address to the passive server, allowing you to access the system even when it is in passive mode. You can also assign it a name in DNS, which makes it show up as it's own system in Active Directory and lets updates be automatically pushed out to it when they take place.
Simplified Configuration
Now operating with the single NIC configuration, administrators can also host multiple IPs on the same segment for management and heartbeat access. This simplifies the overall configuration, allowing them all to live on the same network, using the same default gateway and eliminating static routes between the active and passive server.
Management Client
In addition to running on the ConferenceManager2 server, the Continuity Engine management interface can also be run and accessed from a separate PC or server using the new CE Desktop Management Client.
